Thoughts on truth

Why would I leave myself open and vulnerable by sharing some of my strangest lucid dreams with readers in my forthcoming book? Because I feel that the benefits of sharing these lucid dream experiences with my community and the possible scientific discussions they could generate about consciousness will outweigh any potential negative consequences. Yes, there will be some people that will dive in and celebrate the opportunity to ridicule me. But I would rather tell the truth and be ridiculed than make up stories and be celebrated.
